A recent post from Chairwoman Ma on our facebook page got me thinking about how quilts are inspired. The images of photographer Michael Wolf of the high density housing in Hong Kong are linear, graphic and fascinating.
I have been enthralled by map quilts for some time – even having a print out of fellow Canadian Ian Hundley’s dark map pinned up for inspiration.
UK based Alicia Merritt has produced a fabulous series of map quilts. These can be seen at her website’s gallery.
