Mary is a founder member of the QGI, and is living in Cork. Mary, a native of America, is well known for both traditional and contemporary quilts and for her love of colour and texture. She has exhibited her work both nationally and internationally.

Learn how to put together and cut for this complex looking block. I will show you how to cut from fat quarters and how to piece it on foundation or without foundation. You can make a wall hanging on the day or opt to work towards something larger.

Mariners Compass
Learn how to make this impressive looking 32 point split compass. We will cover color selections, paper piecing, and curved piecing (setting your compass into the background fabric). We’ll also look at ways to use this fabulous centerpiece, either as part of a large project or something smaller.
You should finish a quarter of the compass during the day, and the remaining three quarters will go together very quickly.
