QGI members hail from every part of Ireland and beyond. Our Annual Conference, held in April, is the highlight of our calendar, when we can meet our fellow quilters. It is unquantifiable what we get from each other in terms of sharing family and quilting stories and make friends from other parts of Ireland. That’s in addition to what we learn from excellent teachers.

February 2020 we found ourselves in a unique situation which we found difficult to ‘get our heads around’. We certainly had no idea that nearly a year later, we’d still be unable to meet.

In December 2020 we organised a Show and Tell via Zoom. This was a steep learning curve for many of our members, but thoroughly enjoyable.

We always have to look for positives in life, and our creative skills have been instrumental in giving us focus and escape.
